It MIGHT Be The End Of The World As We Know It. And I Feel Fine.

This morning, I opened my laptop and the news popped up.

(For years I’ve been getting the news as my homepage. It happens with all my Microsoft inclined laptops.)

One particular story, one about the annual Doomsday clock and how it might move today, caught my attention.

Now, every year, I follow the Doomsday clock story. But if I’m honest, I don’t really care about the result.

In my opinion, the world will end when it’s meant to. Not before.

There are extremes to the ‘End Of The World’ view.

Some people are preppers. Some, in my opinion, don’t worry enough about the end of the world.

I think we need to find a happy medium and live a fulfilling life.

About Those Starving Lions….

Today, I read the most horrible article. I’m going to link it here:

Be warned. There are graphic photos which may upset some people.

Basically, 5 lions in a Sudanese zoo are starving because the zoo lacks proper funding.

A lot in this article earned my disapproval. First of all, starvation is a slow, painful death. I hate to say it, but at this point the lions would be better humanely euthanized if they couldn’t be transported to another zoo equipped to take care of them.

Second, SOMETIMES, (according to the article) people will use the situation to their advantage and let other’s donations pour in. The scammers then take the donations and use it on themselves.

Third, this is not the only zoo in this condition in Sudan, according to the article. What irks me as an animal lover is how these animals are treated and forced to live. If you can’t afford a zoo, shut the doors.

What earned my approval in this whole thing? That the kind zookeepers are buying the lions food out of their own pocket. At least there are people out there willing to demonstrate love and compassion.
